More About Our Programs

Our Math, Science, and Technology Magnet provides a curriculum that
emphasizes the use of scientific methods, logical reasoning, collaborative
teaching and learning and individual discovery in the fields of mathematics,
science and technology. Our Magnet curriculum meets or exceeds the District’s
requirements for graduation. In addition, our individualized academic programs
exceed the CSU and UC’s admission requirements.

The Environmental and Social Policy (ESP) Magnet is a small public magnet
program (roughly 150 students) that provides all students a career-ready and a
4-year college-preparatory program. Our magnet program focuses on the
concept of sustainability by fostering in students an understanding of how
environmental, ecological and social systems function and interact, and how
civic engagement and political actions are necessary for building sustainable
communities.

Lincoln STEAM SLC will empower the next generation of Renaissance scholars
to employ fresh, artistic thinking to revolutionize how STEM and Art can impact
our lives. It is through the melding of these fields that students can
access limitless possibilities. STEAM students take thoughtful risks, engage in
experiential learning, persist in problem-solving, embrace collaboration, and
work through the creative process. These are the innovators, creators, leaders,
of the 21st century!

The ambition of the Voice for Medicine, Business, and Social Sciences SLC is to
provide students with an alternative focus for students who would like to enter
the field of medicine, business and the social sciences, while incorporating
cultural, political, and social consciousness. Students in this SLC will have
increased opportunities to build important relationships with staff on campus
and mentors outside the school from partnerships already formed with medical
and social justice related organizations in the community. As a community we
will give every student access to an education that focuses on creating
awareness of social and political inequalities for the sole purpose of selfempowerment. Students will not only appreciate and embrace a multicultural perspective of the world; they will use this view to create change and improve their community.
