Financial Services - Career Pathway with Mrs. Velasquez

Hello Everyone,

I’m excited to share over 10 years of experience in the finance industry with our Lincoln Tigers! Helping students and their families build financial literacy is something I’m truly passionate about—because understanding money is key to achieving college, career, and life goals.

Through our Financial Services – Business & Finance CTE Pathway, students learn real-world money skills like budgeting, saving, credit management, investing, and taxes. They also gain career-ready experience in customer service, communication, and financial decision-making.

Our partnership with U.S. Bank allows us to extend these lessons beyond the classroom, supporting families as well.

The pathway includes two courses—Concentrator and Capstone—where students can earn Financial Literacy and Customer Service Certifications, and even take part in an Entrepreneurship course in their second year.

By the end of the program, students leave confident, career-ready, and financially smart—prepared for whatever comes after high school!
