Banking & Finance Career Pathway with Mrs. Buenrostro

Hello Everyone,

It brings me so much joy to be able to share the knowledge I've acquired throughout my 10 years in the finance industry. Most high schools don't offer career pathways in banking and finance, so I hope that you take a look at the amazing opportunities my class has to offer our Lincoln tigers. 

Financial career opportunities are available in every sector of the economy and require skills in organization, time management, customer service and communication. This career Pathway is designed to give high school students the ability to obtain such skills and knowledge in banking and Finance to become financial literate young adults and to prepare them for life after high school.

The program is broken up into three sections Introductory Course, Concentrator Course, and a Capstone Course: Finance, Banking, and Tax Preparation and Financial Management. It is intended to be taken in this order to achieve maximum student comprehension and growth.

Throughout the courses students have the ability to become certified in Microsoft applications, receive a certificate in Financial Literacy, and participate in an Entrepreneurial course only offered in selected schools (entrepreneurial course is only available for capstone class). In addition, students are gaining employability skills such as customer service, cash handling, written and oral communication, management of bank services, organization, and time management.
