I would like to share with you an update on the Public School Choice Resolution. The Lincoln High School Focus Team has been collaboratively working with teachers, parents, students, classified staff and administrators for the last three months. The stakeholder representatives have also been working on a regular basis, including Saturdays, to discuss and write the plan based on input received. Some reforms that are being considered are the following:
- Student Uniforms
- Advisories
- Block Scheduling
- Interdisciplinary teaching
- Hiring committee
- Evaluation of all staff (certificated and classified)
- Accountability
- Parent and community involvement
- Student discipline and attendance
- Communication
