The 33 seniors in this year's Science Technology & Research class will be presenting their original projects, using power point presentations, poster displays, as well as physical demonstrations of materials. The topics will range broadly over such subjects as lead poisoning, plasma globe costruction, building a flute, fertilizer run-off, effects of gum chewing, building up muscle using ligh weights vs. heavy weights, building a Tesla coil, operant conditioning rats, building a theremin, iPod use and hearing loss, causes of amplifier distortion, UV ligh use in reclaimed water disinfection, senses of smell & sight in sexual attraction, building a CRT, effects of magnetic fields of living tissue, the Urey/Miller experiment revisited, salt concentration in tears, and sex differences in multi-tasking capabilities.
