AP Physics C: Mechanics (Period 7)
Course Description
AP® Physics C: Mechanics is designed for any student who has completed a year of physics and has completed calculus or will be concurrently enrolled in calculus. The AP® Physics C is a national calculus-based course in physics and is designed as a second-year physics course.
Concepts and problem-solving techniques are introduced through a combination of lectures, demonstrations, question–answer sessions, and teacher-generated worksheets, with the text acting as a resource. Calculus is used throughout and where appropriate. We will be using whiteboards for cooperative group problem solving sessions. Students will become proficient at presenting their solutions on the whiteboards and articulating the concepts used in their problem-solving techniques.
