Individual Drawing Project for 20 week:
For your 20 week project you have an optional assignment of doing 10 drawings (5 floor plans and 5 site plans) instead of doing the MESA Bridge Project. This project was created for those who are trying to complete late projects and just want to pass the class with a “B” or “C”.
So… you can only choose the 10 drawing project or the Bridge Project. You are not allowed to do both.
This project is only for individuals, this is not a group project.
Only those who have completed the Bridge Project (in addition to all the previous assignments) and pass the Final Exam will be able to get and "A" for the class.
Remember these drawings must be completed on graph paper and will be graded on neatness and completeness, so please do your best.
Check back for updates and details daily.

Assignment
(10 Week) House Model Project:
For your 10 week project you will build a cardboard/foamboard House Model of a sustainable home or your “dream home”.
- You will build your home based on a home design you found online while doing research
- Your House Model must be of a single level or two level residential home. Do not use designs of commercial office buildings, churches, schools, or skyscrapers.
- The home design that you find online must include basic components of a standard home such as bedrooms, restrooms, a kitchen, and a garage/car port.
- If you choose a two level home for your home design, you must complete a floor plan for both levels. You are not allowed to omit a level from your home design to make it a single level home.
You will complete this project in stages as follows…
- You will be given one week to complete your floor plan(s) and will be due by February 19th for all classes. Make sure you use one sheet of graph paper per floor of your floor plan.
- You will then be given a week to complete your elevations (front, rear, left side, and right side). You will turn in all four (4) elevation plans drawn on separate sheets of graph paper. These elevations are due by February 25th for all classes.
Please refer to the handouts for more details on this project. More information will be posted. Check for updates. If you have any questions about this project, please ask Mr. Gonzales for help!

Assignment
5 week Group/Individual Project: Floor Plans
Hello students...
- Make sure all floor plans are drawn in pencil and on graph paper.
- Floor plans drawn on writing paper or blank paper will not be accepted!
- Remember that the floor plans are not to scale, so do your best to re-create the floor plans found online, and do not measure floor plans from the computer screen.
- All straight lines need to be drawn with a ruler, do not freehand straight lines!
- Try to use a compass or circle template to draw circles and arcs.
- You do not need to draw beds, sofas, chairs, tables, plants, etc. on your floor plans. You are required to draw symbols like sinks, toilets, showers, stoves, bathtubs, etc. that are built in.
