Sponsor Our Program

The new school year is fully underway. And EduCare is in more classrooms than ever, making sure that students have the most comprehensive emotional and academic support, in a safe environment, every day.

DONATE NOW

However, EduCare is facing a very uncertain situation. I am reaching out to you one last time during this fall campaign – because the potential funding cuts we face are not just abstract numbers on a spreadsheet. They represent actual threats to our transformational programs: Afterschool and Summer Programs, ACE Programs and ACE Initiative, and Specialized Student Support Services. Every dollar lost represents a diminishment of our students' ability to fulfill their hopes and dreams. Every dollar you give means that you stand with EduCare as we encourage those hopes and dreams!

SUPPORT STUDENTS NOW
Stories like the one you're about to read remind us all why our mission is so vital. Christina, meet Noel!

Noel is beginning his senior year at Lincoln High School. It's going well! His grades are up. He's applying to colleges. He's enrolled in an impressive five AP courses (up from two last year). Check out the subjects: pre-calculus, government, computer science, 3-D art (where he is developing his sculpture portfolio), and literature & composition.

A native of Los Angeles, Noel has been in EduCare's Afterschool Program at Lincoln, throughout high school. This year, he's in the Academic Club; the Math Team, where he and fellow members offer math tutoring to students at all grade levels; Leadership (planning and executing school events, focusing primarily on community service); and Dance (high-energy hip-hop).

What does he think about EduCare's staff members? "They have great personalities. They talk to us – you can have a real conversation with them." What has Noel gained from Afterschool Program? "Valuing community; I love being with other people. And in Math Team, I've learned to help. In Leadership, I've learned how to engage with other people with different perspectives." Noel has realized the value of being open, of talking to people, of sharing his experience.

We can't wait to see all the ways in which this bright, outgoing student will continue to shine – and we're honored to have been part of his journey!

Noel's story reminds us that EduCare's Heartset® Education is so much more than simply run-of-the-mill "educational support."

If you have already responded to our call, thank you! You have shown how deeply you care for our students.

If you haven't made your donation yet, I encourage you to do so today! Your gift could be the difference between a young person having access to essential resources – or losing that opportunity. We're standing on the precipice of an uncertain future. With your help, we will continue to empower our students and keep the doors of opportunity open for them!
