"Marfan Syndrome" PSA named finalist in High School Filmmaker's Showcase 2009

I'm very proud to announce that one of our PSAs has been named a finalist at the CSULA Reel Rasquache High School Filmmaker's Showcase 2009. The film, "The Marfan Syndrome" is about one student's true life discovery of her physical condition, Marfan Syndrome, a genetic disorder which can affect the eyes, limbs, connective tissue, heart valves and aorta and other parts of the body. It can be mild or severe, and the PSA warns students to get annual checkups and to take care of themselves.

The original PSA was directed by Sylvia Tovar, Director of Photography, Marco Valdez Urbina, and stars Sylvia Tovar, Maria Contreras, Maria Merino and Alejandro Navarro. It was written by Sylvia Tovar, Maria Contreras and Maria Merino.
