Apply for FInancial Aid (FAFSA)

WHAT IS FAFSA?

How to fill out the FAFSA form?

FAFSA, or the Free Application for Federal Student Aid, is a form you should fill out if you're planning to go to college and need financial help. It determines whether you qualify for federal grants, work-study programs, and student loans. Many states and colleges also use your FAFSA information to decide on additional financial aid.

Why is FAFSA Important for You?

  • Grants – Free money for college (like Pell Grants) that you don’t have to pay back.
  • Loans – Low-interest federal student loans to help cover tuition.
  • Work-Study – A program that lets you work part-time and earn money for school.
  • State & College Aid – Many schools use your FAFSA info to offer additional scholarships and aid.Should You Apply?
  • If you’re planning to go to college, trade school, or a career program, you should apply!
  • Even if you think you won’t qualify, fill it out anyway—many aid types aren’t based on income alone.
