I'm a Special Education teacher with a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology, a Master's degree in Special Education from California State University, Northridge, and a Doctoral Degree in Educational Leadership from The University of Southern California. I'm fully credentialed in Science and Mathematics.
This is my 12th year working at Lincoln High School, prior to that, I worked at Crescenta Valley high school in Glendale, Ca. for 3 years.
This is my 15th year as a teacher and my 29th year working with children: I started as an after-school tutor, then onto a toddler room assistant to a classroom teacher's assistant and now a teacher...
A little history on me...my Grandfather came from Agua Calientes, Mexico and built my Grandmother a house in Lincoln Heights flattop on Thomas st. in the 1930's (My Father's parents). He also planted the majority of the trees up on the hill of Thomas st.
My other grandmother is Native American from Central California and my grandfather is from Guadalajara, Mexico...
I feel with my nationality and life-experience I can relate and understand the students at Lincoln High school.
