Legislature Information

Legislature Info 2011-2012

Current Legislature members:

Co-Chairs- Mr. Jose Torres (Principal) and Ms. Marisa Crabtree (UTLA Chapter Chair)
Teachers- Ms. Romero-Flores, Ms. Lauer, Ms. Pastor, Ms. Fong, Mr Yates, and Mr. Martinez.
Students- Mr. Carlos Machuca
Parents- Ms. Siqueiros, Ms Guzman

Purpose: 
Legislature handles the day-to-day activities that take place during the school year, including discipline, bell schedule, student activities, professional development, etc.

Meetings: 
Generally, our meetings are on Mondays once a month for two hours (3:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.) on the following dates: 10/3, 11/7, 12/5, 1/9, 2/6, 3/5, 4/9, 5/7.  We meet in the Library.

Agenda:
Note:  Our meeting agendas are open to anyone who would like to contribute to a discussion or make an announcement, and stakeholders are allowed to add items to the agenda in order to present proposals or initiatives.  You are invited to attend any Legislature meeting- we meet in the library.

Please let Ms. Crabtree know if you have something to add to the agenda at least 48 hours in advance of the meeting date.

FYI- GRADING PERIODS!!!

Important NOTE: 
Please plan to have your grades in at least TWO days before the deadline.  That way it is easier to change grades when mistakes have been made.
