Lincoln High School's GSA and Card Catalogers (library) clubs had the honor of hosting esteemed author Aaron Hartzler for both 7th period with Mr. Nagaoka's and Ms. Valencia's classes, and after school for an extensive one-on-one session.
Mr. Hartzler read from his wonderful memoir, "Rapture Practice," and spoke about that book and his first novel, "What We Saw," as well as fielding extensive questions from our students.
After school Mr. Hartzler spent a significant amount of time with the members of our GSA and library clubs discussing the issues raised not only in his books, but also a number of other topics in a personal setting with delicious refreshments provided by our culinary wizard, GSA club sponsor, and ELA teacher, Ms. Lauer.
photo credits: Ginny Chung, Kevin Banh
